Bio
EVELYN WALG is an interior designer and artist of Dutch origin. She has lived most of her life in Venezuela and now resides in Miami. Walg is an international artist with worldwide exhibits in Venezuela, South Florida, New York, Lima, Tel Aviv, and China.
Her art is about her feelings towards the present day relations between human beings. Millions of us are connected through the internet, but we are not together; there is little touch and no eye contact. Her people hold hands, look and touch each other. They are in motion but not alone.
She creates individuals with no identity but with clear personality. They represent a utopian ideal world of happiness, friendship, peace, love, and harmony. Her bright colors and heavy textures add strength to her almost ethereal people stepping, dancing, and running on the canvas.
